The study of Historical Sociology concerns itself with long-term social processes and trends that have a significant impact on contemporary societies and phenomena. Learn about how society changes throughout history and focus on complex topics such as modernisation, collective mentalities, globalisation, religious and cultural pluralism, social memory, and much more.

The full-time study program is taught in person at the Faculty in Prague. This means that your classes will be scheduled throughout the week at the Faculty building.

The language of tuition is English. The standard length of study is 2 years.

The application deadline is February 29, 2024. Make sure you officially submit your online application by midnight (Central European time). No late submissions are accepted.

Do not forget to pay the application fee by the application deadline otherwise, your application cannot be processed by the Student Administration Office.

To find out how to correctly fill out the application and pay the fee, visit our "Application Payment" section.

The tuition fee is 2000 euros per academic year. The fee is generated at the beginning of each academic year - you do not have to pay anything before your enrollment.

The tuition fee applies to both EU and non-EU applicants.

There are two admission requirements:

 submit your BA diploma

We ask you to submit these documents: a structured CV, proof of English competency at min. B2 level, a motivation letter, and an academic paper of min. 15 pages.

Do not worry if you have not yet received your diploma at the time when you are submitting your online application - you have until September 30 to complete this requirement.
